Venemex Bakery & Café: From No Website to the Top of Google
Venezuelan-Mexican restaurant, bakery & café · Daytona Beach, FL
The Project at a Glance
The Client
Venemex Bakery & Café is a Venezuelan-Mexican restaurant, bakery and café in Daytona Beach, Florida — coffee, tequeños, empanadas, tortas and handcrafted sweets made fresh every morning, from two cultures at one table.
The Challenge
Venemex didn't have a website and barely showed up on Google. People nearby searching for Venezuelan food had no easy way to find them, see the menu or order.
What We Built
- A bilingual website (English & Spanish): venemexbakerycafe.com
- An on-site photo session of the food and the space
- An online ordering system
- Local SEO so Google shows them to people searching nearby
Built Around What Customers Need First
When someone lands on a restaurant website, they want three things fast: what you serve, where you are and how to order. That is exactly what Venemex's homepage leads with — the menu, the location and an "Order Now" button that stays one tap away on mobile. A language switch at the top lets every visitor read the site in English or Spanish, and every photo on it is real: taken on-site, of their own food and their own space.
How We Built It — in Under 3 Weeks
-
Learning the business
We started by getting to know Venemex: the menu, the story behind two cuisines under one roof, and the customers they wanted to reach in Daytona Beach.
-
Photographing the real thing
We came to the café and photographed the food and the space, so the site would launch with real images instead of stock photos.
-
Building a bilingual, mobile-friendly site
Every page works in English and Spanish and is optimized for mobile, so the menu, location and ordering are easy to use on a phone.
-
Adding online ordering
An ordering system lets customers go from "I'm hungry" to placing an order without calling or walking in.
-
Setting up local SEO
We structured the site so Google understands what Venemex is and where it is — so it can show them to people searching nearby.
From start to launch, the whole project took under 3 weeks.
Now They Show Up First
In its first 3 weeks online, the new website received more than 1,000 visits. And today, when someone searches “comida venezolana en Daytona” (Venezuelan food in Daytona), Venemex appears first in Google's local results — and it's not the only search where they lead.
Where Venemex Shows Up on Google
| Search | Position |
|---|---|
| comida venezolana en Daytona | #1 |
| tequeños Daytona Beach | #1 |
| flan Daytona Beach | #1 |
| empanadas Daytona Beach | #1–2 |
| panadería Daytona Beach | #1–2 |

Why It Matters
For a local restaurant, showing up first when someone nearby is hungry is everything. A website that nobody finds doesn't bring in customers — one that's built to rank locally does. And because the site is bilingual, Venemex reaches both English- and Spanish-speaking customers in Daytona Beach.
Online ordering is a longer game: it takes time for regulars to switch from calling or walking in. But the foundation is in place — people are finding Venemex on Google, landing on a site that answers their questions in their language, and they can order in a few taps.
